Women Writers’ Festival 2026

It all begins with an idea. As part of the Festival of Chichester 2026, we are delighted to present The Women’s Writers Festival, organised with our Patron, author Kate Mosse CBE. In the splendour of The Assembly Room, North Street, Chichester.

The day will be opened by another of our Patrons, Jess Brown-Fuller MP, followed by Kate introducing her latest book. Other speakers will include Tessa Boase with a talk titled Fashion Fury and Feathers, a double act on Making Crime Pay by Sussex writers Elly Griffiths and Lesley Thomson, and a talk by members of West Sussex Record Office on women writers in their collection.

The day will finish with Kate Mosse having an in-conversation with a celebrated female author.

Alongside inspiring talks, meet the writers and purchase a signed copy of their books.

A full line-up of authors will be announced soon, but it promises to be a fun and engaging day for readers and book lovers alike.

Tickets are £35.00 including refreshments.
